is the difference between 3D and 4D ultrasound?
4D ultrasound is the live movement of the baby in the womb and 3D is
the still image taken from the 4D.
When
is the best time to do a 3D/4D ultrasound?
The best time to see the baby’s facial features and chunky cheeks is
between 28-32 weeks. Please visit our Best Time Calendar.
When
is the earliest you can determine gender?
16 weeks is the earliest we can determine gender; although at 18 weeks
it is even better.
Do
I need to have a full bladder during my appointment?
No, you do not need to have a full bladder. Being well hydrated will
give you better pictures because the more fluid around the baby, the
clearer your pictures will be.
What
should I do before my appointment?
Make sure that a couple of days before your appointment you are
drinking plenty of water and staying well hydrated. You can also try
drinking juice about 30 minutes before your appointment because it will
help your baby to be awake during the exam.
Do
I need to bring anything with me to the appointment?
Yes! You need to bring in the most recent ultrasound picture from your
doctor’s office so that we can make a copy of it and keep it in your
file. It verifies for us that you are under prenatal care.
Is
3D/4D ultrasound safe?
Yes! We use the same sound waves and frequencies the doctor’s offices
use. Nothing has ever been proven that any type of ultrasound is
harmful to a baby.
Do
I need an appointment?
Yes, we work on an appointment only schedule.
Do
you take insurance?
No, we do not take insurance. 3D/4D ultrasound is an elective procedure
insurance does not cover it. We take payment by cash or credit only.
What
happens if you are unable to see the gender or obtain pictures of the
baby’s face?
If we are unable to see the gender or the baby’s face we will invite
you back for a 2nd visit free of charge. If you have to come back for a
3rd time then we will charge a $30.00 sitting fee.
Can
I bring family and friends?
Yes, you can we encourage our clients to bring family and friends to
enjoy the experience with you. We can comfortably seat up to 10 guests.
Does
the quality of the ultrasound machine play a factor in how my pictures
will turn out?
Yes, it actually does. Here at 3D Angel Babies we use the top machine
in the 3D/4D ultrasound industry; the 730 Voluson Expert. Other
facilities may use the Medison machine and the pictures will not look
as bright and clear as the 730 Voluson Expert.
Will
I leave with my Photos and Video the same day?
Yes, you will leave with everything that same day of your appointment.
We will perform the exam, then print the pictures out and finalize your
DVD all while you wait.
